RingConn has released an overhaul of its smart ring app, which is getting a fresh coat of paint and a substantial update that leaves the app feeling like a much more robust wellness tool. This is great news for anyone looking to choose a cheap option among the best smart ringsespecially right now while it’s on black friday sale.

Starting with the obvious styling change, the look remains similar, but the various charts and graphs have been visually tweaked. For example, the wellness balance chart on the app’s homepage has changed from its diamond-like design to a much easier to read flower-like design.

The corresponding petal is filled in as you improve your Activity, Sleep, Relaxation and Vitality scores. It’s very similar to the previous chart, except it’s much easier to understand at a quick glance.

These visibility improvements extend to other aspects of the homepage and stats pages, but let’s talk about new features. Artificial intelligence has come to the RingConn app in a big way with the introduction of Health Plans.

The first of these plans to launch is a mind-body balance plan — a sleep-improvement plan is apparently on the way, according to the app — and after taking a quick survey about your patterns. of activity, the software will give you specific daily goals. to achieve so that you can constantly transform from your current routine to your new healthier normal.

There is also an AI chatbot that you can chat with, but as the app notes, it can only answer fixed questions. Because of this limitation, it’s not the most useful because it repackages the information the app already gives you. However, as it develops, I could see AI becoming a useful fitness partner.

From testing RingConn Gen 2 for our reviewI continued to use the ring almost all the time – except for a week or two when I lost it (it fell behind the nightstand) – but I found myself relying more and more on the app and a lot less so because the stats I cared about the most were easily viewable in the Android app widget. I could easily check my sleep, activity score and call battery with just a quick glance at my home screen.

The in-depth insights were helpful, but many times I just wanted a quick recap of my stats and a quick guide to improvement. The app’s facelift and health plan tool is perfect and gives me a reason to open it more often because now I can get that extra detail and daily goals in a condensed, quick-to-read way.

As I mentioned above, Ai doesn’t feel entirely useful, but overall this review of the RingConn app feels like a massive boost instead of a downgrade, and I’m excited to see what improvements we get next.
