WORKS ALERT: Major recruitment actions for civil servants are underway at the national level

A major national recruitment drive for temporary civil servants across all departments in the public service everywhere in Irelandis now underway.

The Civil and Public Service requires temporary office staff from time to time to fill vacancies in various locations around the country.

Applicants who have won this competition, which closes at 3pm on Friday 28 November, will be placed on a panel in order of merit.

Vacancies which may arise for temporary desk officers may be filled from this panel. Such vacancies may exist in one of many government departments/offices or in an “agency” of a government department, including civilian posts in An Garda Síochána.

The duties of Temporary Office Officers (TCOs) may vary depending on the nature of the work performed by the employing organization.

This involves such work/administrative duties as may be assigned to the employee from time to time by the organization. Terms and conditions, including the length and period of temporary contracts offered, will vary from position to position.
