Harshita Brella: Family of woman found dead in car boot in Ilford, east London, speak out as manhunt continues for husband | UK news

The family of a woman found dead in a car boot in London have paid tribute.

In a statement released by Northamptonshire Police the family of 24-year-old Harshita Brella said: ‘You have left this world but you are still with us in our hearts and will always be there.

“We will never forget you until our last breath. Always stay with us.

“We miss you every moment of our lives.”

Police launched an investigation after Ms Brella’s body was found in the boot of a silver Vauxhall Corsa parked in Ilford, east. Londonin the early hours of Thursday, November 14.

Her husband Pankaj Lamba is the main suspect in the police investigation.

A international manhunt to find the 23-year-old continues. Detectives suspect he fled the country.

Police believe Ms Brella was killed on the evening of Sunday November 10 and taken in the Corsa towards Brisbane Road in east London from Corby, Northamptonshire, in the early hours of the following day.

Officers began searching for Ms Brella after receiving a call with concerns for her welfare on November 13.

At an inquest on Wednesday, Senior Coroner Anne Pember said that the preliminary cause of death was given as manual strangulationpending further test results.

Family tribute comes as police released a CCTV image of the couple the night detectives believe she was killed.

The picture shows the pair walking in the area around Corby Boating on Sunday, November 10.

On Tuesday, police released others CCTV footage de Lamba from Ilford after allegedly abandoning the car containing Ms Brella’s body.

A police spokesman previously confirmed Ms Brella was a victim of domestic violence and was the subject of a domestic violence protection order at Northampton Magistrates’ Court in September.

Northamptonshire Police made a mandatory referral to the Independent Police Conduct Office due to previous contact with Ms Brella.
