Arson, fraud investigation underway in Leesville

LEESVILLE, La. (KPLC) – An investigation is underway into fires that officials say were intentionally set in Leesville in September.

Jonathan Eaves47, was arrested Thursday, Oct. 24, on two counts of arson with intent to defraud and one count of insurance fraud, according to the Louisiana Fire Marshal’s Office (SFM).

Eaves is accused of setting fire to a recreational vehicle and a vacant apartment complex located at 207 Carl St. on September 10, according to SFM.

The investigation is ongoing.
