iCare Day brings public awareness to domestic violence in the Ozarks

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – It’s Friday iCare Day. It’s meant to raise public awareness about domestic violence here in the Ozarks.

House of Harmony says Greene County has one of the highest per capita rates of domestic violence in the state. The organization is asking people to join in raising awareness of domestic violence in our community and raising money for Harmony House to help save lives.

The group has been operating since the 70s and provides shelter and support to survivors.

House of Harmony provided more than 27,000 meals to the homeless last year, more than 4,000 calls and more than 30,000 safe beds to sleep in.
