Angel Tree begins

Angel Tree begins

The Salvation Army began its annual Angel Tree drive on Nov. 16 at the Walmart Supercenter, 2501 Walton Blvd., Warsaw. This is the 36th annual toy drive for families in need in Kosciusko County, supported by the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary. The tags can be taken off the tree to make shopping for the children, to give a gift, hat and gloves and a Christmas book. Households also receive a food voucher to help with their holiday meal. Walmart is a national supporter of The Salvation Army through Angel Tree. In Kosciusko County alone, more than $10,000 worth of donations were collected at the Walmart Tree last year. The tree will be in the foyer until Dec. 16 to collect donations, according to Envoy Sina Locke, Angel Tree coordinator. Donations to the Angel Tree can also be made online through a register at Walmart. For more information, visit www.sawarsaw.org. Auxiliary members pictured (L to R) are Cindy Coppes, Sandy DeSanto, Mary Cordill, Jan Hammaker, Ruth Casner, Deb Frank and Tafra Krevinghaus.
