Selected candidates will now proceed to the next phase which includes record verification and a standard physical test. This stage of the selection process is scheduled to take place in the third week of December. UPPRPB congratulated all the successful candidates and urged them to visit the official website regularly for updates related to the selection process.

UPPRPB Chairman Rajeev Krishna said that all the candidates who secured the same cut-off marks in the written examination for Direct Recruitment-2023 for Constable (Civil Police) posts have been included in the merit list for the next stage.

“The list of eligible candidates for document verification and physical standard test (DV/PST) has been published on the board’s official website, (candidates can check their results using their roll number or exam number),” he added.

Krishna also said that document verification and Physical Standard Test (DV/PST) are scheduled for the third week of December. Candidates who qualify this stage will then take part in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) which will be held in the third week of January 2025.

He said that the result of the written examination was made public after thorough resolution of objections. He explained that the board had invited objections from candidates by publishing question papers and answer keys for all 10 shifts of the exam on its official website from September 11 to 19.

“All objections received through various channels were meticulously scrutinized and opinions were sought from a panel of experts in the field as appropriate. After the completion of the written test, the scanning process of the OMR answer sheets was conducted with strict security measures. Security personnel and CCTV cameras have been deployed and 24/7 live monitoring has been ensured throughout the process,” he said, adding, “The normalization of candidates’ marks has been done as per the provisions highlighted in the recruitment notice.” .

He further informed that using advanced technology, strict confidentiality protocols and rigorous security arrangements, the council devised a comprehensive strategy that dismantled the plans of copycat mafias and fixer gangs. He said artificial intelligence (AI) has played a key role in this effort, enabling strong safeguards against any malpractices during the examination process.

Notably, over 34.6 lakh candidates out of a total of 48,17,441 candidates, including 15,000 women candidates, took the written exam for 60,244 constable posts in August earlier this year.

Out of the 60,244 posts, 20 percent are reserved for women candidates under the reservation policy, so as many as 12,049 women are to be recruited while total 48,195 men are to be recruited in the process.
