INDIANAPOLIS (HATE) — Year Irvington home surveillance video shows the moment a truck robbery suspect he fled through their front porch before the police caught him.

Shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday morning, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to a Chase Bank in the 8800 block of Southeastern Avenue on a report of a robbery by a person.

Upon arrival, they found out a Brinks Security Company employee was robbed at work.

“The two suspects fled in a vehicle with a third suspect, which ultimately led to a brief vehicle chase with the suspects crashing a vehicle in the area of ​​South Arlington Avenue and Julian Avenue,” IMPD said in a statement.

Following the crash, the three suspects got out of the car and ran to Jeff Hutsell’s home in Irvington.

Hutsell saw the man run up to the porch and began running over him, leaving a key that was later used as evidence.

“I thought maybe he was trying to rob construction sites at that point,” Hutsell said. “I had no idea I was who I was.”

The police, with the help of several agencies, arrested two suspects and one person is released.

“There is one person that remains outstanding that we continue to look for,” said IMPD Officer Tommy Thompson.

Police do not know what led to the robbery, but say only the driver’s personal belongings were taken and later recovered. The driver is safe and was not hospitalized.

Schools in the area were on a brief lockdown but resumed normal activities shortly after.
