DKMS typing campaign at FC Bayern World

In collaboration with the German Bone Marrow Donor Center (DKMS), the FC Bayern women’s team already raised awareness about stem cell donation in a typing campaign last week. Now, on Saturday 23 November from 10:00 to 14:00 CET at FC Bayern World (Weinstraße 7, Munich), there is another opportunity to register as a potential stem cell donor for free.

Lena Oberdorf summed up the relevance of the initiative: “We often talk about great opponents in football. But off the field, many people have to face a much greater challenge in the fight against blood cancer. That is why it is important for me to be registered with DKMS. as potential stem cell donor,” said the 22-year-old.

Linda Dallmannwho attaches great importance to the work that DKMS does, feels the same way: “The more donors register with DKMS, the greater the chances of saving lives. For us, it is a matter of honor to support the fight against leukemia and we hope that many people will join us.”

FC Bayern has long been committed to the fight against cancer. The club recently took part in many activities to mark the club’s 50th anniversary Deutsche Krebshilfe (German Cancer Foundation), including a special test with FCB’s partner, Allianz, to raise awareness of this important issue.

Several Bayern Women players have already volunteered for blood grouping:
