Almost a year after being convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors is finally freed from the assault and defamation lawsuit. The Creed III actor was initially arrested on charges of assault, strangulation and harassment in March 2023 and was found guilty in December. At that time, while Majors avoided going behind bars, he was ordered to enroll in a 52-week domestic abuse prevention program. While the 35-year-old claimed he did not assault Jabbari both before and after the domestic assault trial, she filed another lawsuit against him, accusing the actor’s lawyers of defaming her at the end of the proceedings.

According to the latest reports, lawyers for both sides filed a joint filing with the court on Thursday, November 21, and dismissed the lawsuit. “All claims against the defendant in the above-noted action are dismissed with prejudice,” the filing, cited by Variety, states.

Lawyers have yet to comment on this.

Majors and Jabbari met on the set of Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum-mania and began dating at that time. However, in March 2023, the couple split after a series of alleged domestic altercations.

British professional dancer Grace Jabbari later accused Majors of physically slapping her and assaulting her by slapping her, fracturing her finger, twisting her arms and punching her, causing her to bleed to death. an incident that occurred around the same time. His trial began in November 2023, with Major pleading not guilty to the charges. Finally, in December, he was found guilty of one count of 3rd degree reckless assault and one count of harassment.
