Police say they are supporting people who were at home when three men broke into a property in Mission Bay on Thursday night.

A police spokesman said an investigation into the robbery was in its early stages.

“No injuries have been reported. We are making sure the victims are getting support,” a police spokesman said.

Three men entered the property and took a number of unspecified items.

Police said an examination of the scene is continuing.

They were alerted at around 11.15pm on Thursday night to an incident at the home on Selwyn Avenue in Mission Bay, which is one of the wealthiest suburbs in the country.

Media including Things and New Zealand Heraldreports that the home is owned by Barry and Diane Rissetto, who appeared on the 2019 NBR rich list.
