Teenager arrested over fires at three Hull play parks

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after three suspected arson attacks on park playgrounds in Hull.

Humberside Police have launched an investigation following the incidents at Alderman Kneeshaw Park and Bellfield Avenue on Sunday. Another incident was found in East Park on Wednesday.

Officers later said they were reviewing CCTV footage after the play equipment was left badly damaged.

Humberside Fire and Rescue said no injuries were reported.

On Facebook, the Love Parks Hull page, which is run by Hull City Council, said the East Park playground would be closed until late Friday afternoon due to “essential removal of a damaged unit which has been destroyed”.

Humberside Police are asking anyone with information about the incidents to contact them using 101.
