Club officers training 2024/2025

Club officers training 2024/2025

The GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association are pleased to confirm the next phase of club officer training scheduled for late 2024 and early 2025.

The Planning and Training Committee has worked closely with Provincial Councils, County Committees, the LGFA and the Camogie Association to provide a range of training opportunities for both new and existing club officers. As part of the effort to recognize the contributions volunteers make to our associations, a scheme will be introduced in 2025 to recognize active volunteers by offering meaningful and beneficial rewards.

Recent involvement with club officer training is a measure that will be used to determine the level of volunteer activity. This means that volunteers who complete the Club Leadership Development Program modules in 2024 and 2025 will benefit beyond the valuable development of skills and knowledge gained by completing the modules.

David Denieffe, Chairman of the Planning and Training Committee, emphasizes the considerable benefits of the training courses. “There is support for the people who fill the key roles in our clubs and counties,” he explains.

“Supports are role specific and are in key areas where people need support. If you look over the range we’ve put together, it pretty much covers everything you need if you’re trying to run a club or fill a key role. within a club, this is the strong point.

“You look at the range of training material available online, it’s really very powerful and useful. People should use it.”

Here’s a rundown of what’s available:
