Police seek suspect in Bronx vehicle title fraud case

NEW YORK — The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a woman accused of grand theft involving a fraudulent vehicle sale in the Bronx last month.

According to police, the incident occurred around noon on Saturday, October 19, outside 1475 Sheridan Boulevard in the 44th Precinct. A 58-year-old man arranged to meet the suspect to purchase a vehicle, exchanging 3,500 dollars for what was later revealed to be a fake title.

Authorities reported that after the transaction was completed, the woman fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. The purchased vehicle was later towed, with investigators determining that the title provided to the victim was fraudulent.

The NYPD has released images of the suspect as part of their investigation and is urging anyone with information about her identity or whereabouts to contact them.
