The Rockdale ISD teacher was arrested after authorities investigated the school threat

WACO, Texas (KWTX) – The Milam County Sheriff’s Office says a Rockdale ISD teacher was arrested after making a school threat this week under an anonymous user.

MCSO says they began investigating around 8:00 pm on October 24th after a threat was made from an anonymous user on a school webpage associated with Rockdale High School.

The FBI and US Secret Service assisted the sheriff’s office in tracking down the anonymous user’s IP address and obtained warrants related to the IP address, Milam County Sheriff Mike Clore said.

MCSO says the anonymous user’s IP address was traced to a Rockdale High School teacher, who authorities have not identified.

Authorities interviewed the teacher on campus, where MCSO says they admitted to making the threat.

The teacher was arrested and is awaiting trial on charges of making a terroristic threat and making a false report, according to MCSO.

Sheriff Clore thanks Rockdale ISD for alerting authorities to the threat and says the district has been cooperating with the investigation.
