  • Elon Musk’s public spending for Trump and Republicans has exceeded $130 million.
  • Nearly $119 million of that amount went to Musk’s pro-Trump “America PAC.”
  • He also gave $10 million to a Mitch McConnell-aligned super PAC that helps elect Senate Republicans.

Elon Musk has now spent more than $130 million this year to elect Donald Trump and other Republican candidates, according to documents filed Thursday with the Federal Election Commission.

The vast majority of that amount, just $119 million, went to “America PAC,” the billionaire businessman’s super PAC that spent mostly money on canvassing and digital advertising to support Trump. PAC also has spent a smaller amount to help elected Republicans running in 18 competitive House races across the country.

After casting nearly $75 million in America PAC between July and September, Musk contributed another $43.6 million to the super PAC in the first two weeks of October. He has also contributed $924,600, the legal maximum, directly to the Trump campaign.

Musk also contributed $10 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, a super PAC affiliated with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell that helps elect Senate Republicans, and $825,000 to the Hispanic Leadership Alliance, a super PAC affiliated with Republican Rep. Tony Gonzales from Texas. That’s on top of hundreds of thousands of dollars donated in August to the National Republican Congressional Committee, the campaign arm for House Republicans.

In total, Musk’s publicly reported spending exceeds $130 million, though he may have spent more than that on the election.

The billionaire businessman has seems to have contributed to a “black money” nonprofit group that gave $3 million to a super PAC which ran ads portraying Vice President Kamala Harris as both supportive and hostile to Israel. Musk also reportedly gave more money to political action committees starting Oct. 16, but it wouldn’t show up in public records until late November.

Musk did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Musk has the richest man in the world it was all in for Trump in a way that few business titans have before for a presidential candidate, including holding town hall events in Pennsylvania and appearing with the former president at a recent rally in the state.

He also organized a $1 million donation for registered voters who sign a petition for the super PAC, raising legal questions and according to reports prompted a warning from the Department of Justice.
