Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest Netflix show will hit screens in a few weeks, the streaming giant has announced.

POLO, a five-part documentary series produced by Archewell Productions of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will be released globally on 10 December.

The new show will offer an unprecedented look at the sport and show the “fierce rivalries” and “intense training” of those competing in the US Open Polo Championship.

In an announcement made on November 20, Netflix said of the new polo show: “Through fierce rivalries and intense training, viewers will get an unprecedented look at the dedication and skills required to compete at the sport’s highest level.

“From a young player pushed to the limits by his demanding father, to a former golfer who made significant sacrifices for the love of the sport, to the father-son duo widely regarded as the greatest golfers of all time – they all experience a personal intensity. and professional challenges as they compete for the coveted title.”

The series will feature Miloš Balać as showrunner and Meghan, Harry, Psynik, Ian Samplin and Boardwalk Pictures’ Andrew Fried, Sarina Roma and Dane Lillegard as executive producers.

Prince Harry he has been a sports enthusiast for decades and is known to be an avid polo player.

It is one of two new projects that Harry and Meghan are set to launch Netflixthe second being Meghan’s cooking series, which is likely to coincide with the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Meghan is set to host the cooking series, which will see Leah Hariton as showrunner and Michael Steed as director.

It will be produced by Sony Pictures Television’s Intellectual Property, with Duchess Hariton, Archewell’s Chanel Pysnik and IPC’s Aaron Saidman and Eli Holzman serving as executive producers, according to the report.

Harry and Meghan previously produced three series for Netflix via Archewell – their series Harry and Meghan, Heart of Invictus and Live to Lead.
